Sings “PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!” I’m back with yet ANOTHER puppy chow recipe and if you’re like me than this one will be your favorite one yet! Shane was VERY skeptical at first – he said “I don’t like jelly” and I responded “Just try it!” … we are on our third batch and not because of me!

I will say this combination seems lighter to me, meaning it’s not as rich! The fruitiness of the strawberry cake mix pairs perfectly with the salty of the peanut butter! This was a combo that I had been messing with for a while but couldn’t get the consistency just right, until NOW. I will say I prefer using the almond bark over white chocolate chips for flavor reasons BUT both will still work! I feel as thought the white chocolate chips take away from the strawberry flavoring more than I prefer!

I will say that you must watch both the chocolate and peanut butter very closely when melting to avoid over cooking! Other than that, this is a pretty typical puppy recipes with a few NEW & DELICIOUS ingredients.

ingredients:

Peanut Butter Puppy Chow

• 4 cups corn or rice chex cereal
• 1 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup powdered sugar

Strawberry Jelly Puppy Chow:

• 4 cups corn or rice chex cereal
• 1 cup dark almond bark (white chocolate chips can be used too)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup strawberry cake mix (powdered mix only)

Peanut Butter Puppy Chow

1. Melt peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth (15-30 seconds) – watch closely to avoid “burning” peanut butter.
2. Place chex cereal in large bowl and pour melted peanut butter and vanilla mixture over it and fold into until cereal is evenly coated.
3. Place powdered sugar into large plastic bag, dump peanut butter cereal, and shake until cereal is evenly coated.
4. Transfer peanut butter puppy chow into new plastic bag or large tupperware, then set aside.

Strawberry Jelly Puppy Chow

1. Melt almond bark (or white chocolate chips) and vanilla extract until smooth (15-30 seconds) – watch closely to avoid “burning” the chocolate.
2. Place chex cereal in large bowl and pour melted almond bark and vanilla mixture over it and fold into until cereal is evenly coated.
3. Place cake mix into large plastic bag, dump the coated cereal, and shake until cereal is evenly coated.
4. Combine strawberry jelly puppy chow and peanut butter puppy chow together!
